In 1997 Malmö Gallery night was founded. Over the years the gallery night became a gallery weekend, but the purpose is the same: to open up Malmös vibrant art scene for a wider audience!

During this weekend a 90 art galleries, art museums and pop-up art venues are open and many of them have openings, performances and other special events.

Opening hours are: Friday 6 pm - 10 pm, Saturday and Sunday 12 pm - 4 pm.

Malmö Gallery Weekend is organized by Konstfrämjandet Skåne, with the hope of making art accessible and enabling new meetings and experiences. Konstfrämjandet Skåne works to bring art into peoples everyday lives and make it accessible in different ways.

Friday

Digitaliseum, Isabel Theselius & Ossian Theselius - Excelsior preteritum,
Live concert at 7:15 pm - 8 pm, DJ at 6 pm – 11 pm

Moki Cherry - A journey eternal at Moderna Museet
Big opening with live music, DJ’s and a bar

Jacques Zadig & Gerhard Nordström, Matti Sumari, Ella Tillema – Money or life at SIGNAL

Liza Shkirando (feat. FlickerFuckers)- Mechanisms of care at Phatic Studios
Artist talk at 7 pm

At Båstadgatan there are three galleries in row, all of them have openings and/or performances:
